For 30 years, I was the person on the other side of the table — the brand executive deciding which sponsorship proposals earned a yes, and which got passed over in the first 30 seconds.
I built and led the Pepsi Sports Group — NASCAR, Major League Baseball, MLS, U.S. Soccer. I ran sponsorship and brand experience for Heineken USA, negotiating partnerships with the US Open, the Latin Grammys, and Coachella. At Harley-Davidson I directed consumer experience and events, including the 75-year Official Motorcycle partnership with the City of Sturgis. At Intel I led sports and Olympics marketing across the NFL, NBA, NCAA, and the PyeongChang Winter Games.
At Amazon, I was hired to manage the company’s first major sponsorship — the naming rights for Climate Pledge Arena, home of the NHL’s Kraken and the WNBA’s Storm — and went on to lead global sponsorships, negotiating Amazon’s multi-year league partnership with the NWSL.
Across those seats I reviewed thousands of proposals and managed nine-figure partnership portfolios. I know what makes a brand lean in, and what makes them quietly move on.
Then I went deep on generative AI — more than 2,500 hands-on hours. Very few people teach sponsorship sales from the buyer’s chair, and almost no one pairs it with real AI capability. OUTPREPARED™ is that intersection, built into a methodology.
